Why Safety?

Safety is intertwined within our lives!!

Safety is definitely an aspect of our daily lives that is quite often over-looked. Being safe is critical to every company's-, community's-, and individual's livelihood and well-being. Topics of safety are intertwined inside all areas within our life, which includes but are not limited to: electrical, driving, cold/hot weather or environment, housekeeping, severe weather, emergency situations, walking surfaces, and locking-out hazards. Locking-out hazards? What is that supposed to mean?
As an example you lock your doors to keep you and your family safe at night, electrical outlet covers for “child proofing your home”, and having a fence around your backyard to protect your family and property from intruders. A lot of safety protections are obvious such as bungee jumping without safety harnesses, not wearing your seatbelt (no one wants to be like a “test dummy”), driving with hot coffee between your legs (who knew it could burn you), and diving head-first into a 2 foot deep pool.
Yes, most experiences that have helped you learn about safety might have seemed juvenile or even boring at the time and I am right there with you! Though, safety is not a laughing matter, it does not always have to be boring. This websites goal is make safety not so “boring” and help us all live safe at home and work. I think that you will find this site informative and motivating!
