Dehydration

Every one has at least experienced one or more symptoms of dehydration at some point or another! Common signs of dehydration include a headache, cotton-mouth, fatigue, legs feeling heavy, and even impaired thinking abilities. Make sure before you are in the heat that you drink up because it is harder to catch-up on lost-fluids, via sweating. Water is always the best fluid to drink, but sports drinks in moderation can be a temporary substitute. It is best to avoid high sugary drinks such as fruit juices, soda, alcohol, caffeinated beverages as well as energy drinks. These above listed beverages to avoid while in the heat cause the body to not retain water and to lose salt. Like a wise man once said, "if you are not going to the bathroom, you are not drinking enough".
